Getting Here

By Car

The most common way to get to Cape Breton is by car from the mainland via the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 104) to the Canso Causeway.

By Bus

There is daily bus service offered by Maritime Bus.http://www.maritimebus.com
Shuttle service is provided between Halifax and Sydney and environs by several companies who travel at various time throughout the day.

By Plane

Cape Breton Island is serviced by JA Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport. The Airport is about two hours from the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail and is withinin easy driving distance to other key areas of Cape Breton Island. (www.sydneyairport.ca). The Halifax Stanfield International Airport( http://www.hiaa.ca/) is about a two and a half hours drive from Cape Breton.

By Sea

From Newfoundland to Cape Breton Island service is provided by Marine Atlantic. There is daily, year-round service between North Sydney and Newfoundland.
